Theatre Imp: Irena's Vow @ Lincoln Drill Hall
Tuesday 11 Feb–Thursday 13 Feb 2014, 7.30pm
New local amateur company Theatre Imp’s debut production
is the incredible true story of Irena Gut, a Polish Catholic, who, witnessing
the fate of Jews in German-occupied Poland, began a very personal rescue
campaign.
Dan Gordon’s wonderful play captures Irena’s irony and
sense of humour in the face of adversity and the play is as uplifting as it is
thought provoking. The team at Lincoln Drill Hall are delighted that Irena’s daughter, Jeannie, is flying from America to attend all the performances.
This UK premier coincides with commemorative events taking place to mark Holocaust Memorial Day.
