THE
TAMING OF THE SHREW
Everyone wants to marry mild-mannered
Bianca. No-one wants to marry her acid-tongued older sister Kate. Their father
won’t let anyone marry Bianca until a husband can be found for Kate – but no-one
knows anyone mad enough to take her on. Until Petruchio comes to town. What
happens when a woman who suffers no fools meets a loud-mouthed braggart when
neither is ever lost for words? Sparks are guaranteed to fly in Shakespeare’s
rumbustious battle-of-the-sexes comedy, where nobody is exactly who they appear
to be! |

IOLANTHE
Gilbert and Sullivan's magical comic opera is about
Iolanthe, a fairy, who falls in love with a mortal. Her resulting death sentence
under fairy law is commuted by the Fairy Queen to banishment. 25 years later her
son, Strephon, falls in love with the Lord Chancellor of England’s ward,
Phyllis. But the Lord Chancellor was Iolanthe’s mortal lover, who, believing her
dead, intends to marry Phyllis himself....  Set half in Fairyland, half in
Westminster, its surprisingly topical satire pokes fun at Love, Class and
Politics – and at characters from extremely different backgrounds (fairy/mortal
and left/right politics) forming uneasy
coalitions! |

THE
SORCERER'S APPRENTICE
The
original boy-wizard story was most famously told in Disney’s Fantasia, where the
title role was played by Mickey Mouse! Bored of chores, the apprentice waves a
wand and a broom magically fetches water. But what is the spell to make it stop?
In desperation he saws it in half and everything spirals out of control… This
show features the original music by Paul Dukas (as used in Fantasia);  more
water then you have EVER seen in a play before; and eye-popping magical
illusions designed by the world famous illusionist Paul Daniels.  Exciting,
magical family fun for all ages 5+! |
